I met Richard & Danielle last October when it became very obvious how completely mad about each other they were. Both hardworking, thoughtful, kind and really positive, out there, my-kind-of-people, I was delighted to be covering their 2-days of wedding celebrations in Brighton from Brighton Pavilion, to Wakehurst Place. Read on…

They chose Brighton’s Royal Pavilion to start their celebrations and on day one, had a simple, but very emotional civil ceremony in the Pavilion’s Red Drawing Room. With their short but sweet ceremony and both reading some of their own special and very touching wording (and the groom having to wipe away some very PINK lipstick), we then ventured into the stunning Music Room for some photos. Wow!!! What a venue! I shot my very first wedding here many years ago and it still has a massive impact on me. After that, we had some confetti and some much wanted family photos before they headed off to Al Fresco on the seafront for a relaxed, celebratory family dinner.

Richard & Danielle had planned the perfect family wedding, with their families coming in from far and wide – Argentina, Jamaica, Portugal…. Not all my couples want family or group photos, some want a more ‘unplugged’ documentary approach – but others, like this one, wanted to capture family members together for the first time, so their family photos were pretty significant to them.

And what a great idea spreading their celebrations out over 2 days!! Day 2 to follow, but for now, here’s a selection from their first day of celebrations. Oh and ladies, the dresses from this wedding are stunning, take a look! A beautiful day. A beautiful couple… more to follow on the blog shortly.
